Our visit to The Mindful Mug café

In the centre of Lincoln, just a short walk from campus and hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the high street, is the Mindful Mug café. The light and airy building is situated in front of St Martin’s Square, a quaint green space where you’ll find the café’s seating on a sunny day.

At the beginning of May, the editors visited The Mindful Mug, a café centred around wellness and wellbeing for a much-needed catch up and de-stress. The concept of integrating mindfulness and a café interested us as psychology students, particularly as the owner of the café, Charlotte, is a psychology graduate from the University of Lincoln. Sophie held a short interview with Charlotte during our visit, which is worth a watch to hear about the reason behind the business and how it came to be. You can watch our video with Charlotte here.

As well as being a calm and relaxing place to take a mindful minute, the café also offers a varied menu. If you’re feeling peckish, The Mindful Mug offers several tasty food options, including delicious cakes and paninis.

We had a great time and enjoyed the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, and would definitely recommend.
