3 tips for freshers

  1. Study in the Ross Library

If the main library is too hot, loud and dark for you, try the library on the first floor of the Ross Lucas Medical Building. It’s light, airy, modern, quiet, and has some nice welcoming touches. Everything you can get in the main library, with the only exception being the print copies of books.

2. Use Microsoft OneNote

Microsoft OneNote is an application for Windows and Mac that is excellent for taking fast, organised notes in lectures and seminars.

3. Use a focus app

If you struggle to find the motivation to do your assignments, or get distracted easily, try the Forest app. This app allows you to plant a variety of adorable trees that grow as you focus. If you exit the app before the tree has grown, it will wilt. Eventually, you will grow your own forest!
